Why do we ask for this information?

At Signature Thai Clinic and Spa, your safety and comfort come first. Before every treatment, your therapist reviews your consultation form so they can personalise your session from the moment you walk in.

Here is why each section matters:

Medications
Some medications affect how your body responds to massage. Blood thinners, for example, can make your skin more sensitive to pressure and increase the risk of bruising. Certain pain medications may reduce your ability to feel discomfort during a session, which means your therapist needs to be extra careful with pressure levels. Knowing what you take helps us keep your treatment safe.

Pregnancy
Massage during pregnancy requires a different approach entirely. Certain techniques and pressure points are not suitable during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester. If you are pregnant, your therapist will adapt the session to ensure both you and your baby are comfortable and safe throughout.

Surgery and medical conditions
Recent surgery, joint replacements, or conditions such as blood clots, cancer, or heart conditions all require your therapist to modify the treatment. In some cases, we may ask you to obtain clearance from your doctor before proceeding. This is not to turn you away, it is to protect you.

Blood pressure
High or low blood pressure can be affected by certain massage techniques and positions. Your therapist will adjust accordingly to make sure you leave feeling better, not worse.

Areas of focus
This helps your therapist spend time where you need it most, whether that is a tight neck from desk work, sore feet from standing all day, or a lower back that has been bothering you for weeks.

All information you provide is kept strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of your treatment at Signature Thai Clinic and Spa.
